BOTOX® is a purified protein derivative that can very effectively soften the fine lines and wrinkles that appear when you smile, frown, or laugh. Those lines between your eyebrows, across your forehead, and around your eyes can be treated effectively without surgery. A session of careful fine injections will smooth those wrinkles, giving you a younger and more relaxed appearance. BOTOX® has other uses, too, such as reducing chin dimples, neck lines, and excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis) in the hands and armpits.

Each session consists of a several tiny injections into the targeted muscle. Those injections, which last three to six months, keep the muscle from contracting and forming wrinkles. The overlying skin is unaffected so no one will know that you had this procedure done

Infrequent side effects can include bruising that will resolve within a few days and, very uncommonly, a temporary droopy eyelid that resolves within a several days and can be treated with medicated eyedrops.
